Elites
Peter Gilet

Jeff Harvie (March AD2000) decries traditionalist elites
in the Church as heartless Latinists, indifferent to their fellow
Catholics and academically pretentious.
All I can say is that in my experience most of this is a good
description of the liberal element in the Church. Those wanting a
more traditional liturgy are generally inarticulate and form a
large part of any congregation. To raise the elitist bogeyman is
quite destructive of their hopes.
