While most of David Schutz's article on The Passion was excellent, I disagree with parts of it, namely where he says "Even the spiritual suffering of Jesus (given most emphasis in the garden of Gethsemane) seems overdone".

According to the Gospel of Mark 14:34, Jesus said to his disciples: "My soul is sorrowful even unto death" and in Luke 22:44 we read that great drops of blood formed like sweat and fell to the ground.

His mental suffering must have been terrible and unlike his physical suffering it could not have been captured on film.
