Letters Availability of RU486I write concerning the availability of the abortion drug, mifepristone (RU486). The problem in law that will have to be resolved is the ultimate authority of the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) to release RU486 to the public in Australia, even under restricted conditions. This is a poison designed to kill a baby in the mother's womb. The word "therapeutic" implies that the goods with which the TGA deals are beneficial to combat illness and disease. Pregnancy is not a disease and RU486 kills developing babies, thereby creating sickness and death. OWEN CHARLES Reprinted from AD2000 Vol 26 No 11 (December 2013 - January 2014), p. 15 |
