Reflection: The concrete character of Christianity - John Young

A short time ago, I read this item (advertising a tour of a Jewish museum) in a parish bulletin: "For synagogue tour, please wear modest dress". I thought, how good to stand up for your principles.

Subsequently, I heard a priest criticise the way some women dress at Catholic weddings. He said that "something should be done about it".

Interestingly, it is said that Our Lady told Lucia at Fatima that her Son was very displeased with some women's fashions.

The present lack of good taste promoted in the clothing industry and the fact that women are at risk is a cause of grave concern.

As Catholics, we should set a good example and "do something about it", such as designing and purchasing attractive, smart clothes that enhance women's dignity.
