In October of 2002, Pope John Paul II announced the year of the Rosary and introduced a new set of mysteries. The Mysteries of Light focus on the public life of Jesus and now replace the Joyful Mysteries on Thursdays. If, like me, you recite the Rosary with a tape or CD accompaniment, then it is time to update. If you don't use a tape or CD, then it is time to think about it.

This new CD, titled Spending the Day with Mary, has a short introduction explaining the new Mysteries of Light and a bonus of three original songs, "Mary's Song", which is the Magnificat, "At the Foot of the Cross", about Mary witnessing the crucifixion, and the "Our Father" set to original music.
