I want to thank you for printing that excellent article by Fr Sebastian Camilleri OFM in your May issue of AD2000. It was needed.

As one who has made an apostolate of the confessional, I appreciate the renewal by Fr Sebastian of the Church's constant teaching and practice which is strongly encouraged by Pope John Paul.

Over and above the sacramental aspect of one-to-one confession, there is the wonderful opportunity to listen sympathetically and give advice and encouragement - which is important and always appreciated.
