I refer to Richard Egan's article (September AD2000) concerning the Commission for Australian Catholic Women.

Even if it were possible to have ordained women priests, to suit the aspirations of a small minority, just what would we expect to hear from the pulpit each Sunday?

Would it be about "Jesus Christ, true God and true man" or, perhaps, "Sophia - the Divine One herself"!

If this Commission intends to represent fully every Catholic female on this particular issue, I hope that it includes my wife and 18-year-old daughter. That is what has prompted this letter.

I wonder what Jesus - and, especially, Our Lady - would think about all this!
