Thank you from India

Fr. A. Joseph

I wish to thank you for sending me your magazine AD2000. I also wish you a very happy Easter. May the Risen Saviour bless you and your press ministry. Some of your subscribers also sent back issues which I like most. I also distributed them to the teachers and students of our schools and they enjoy reading them, and profit by them [see photo next page].

About myself. I was born on 3 August 1950 in a rural village. My parents were Anthony and Philomin Mary. My father served in the Indian Army for 24 years. I have a brother and four sisters. One of them is a nun in the Franciscan Servants of Mary Congregation.

I was ordained on 25 May 1977. Salem Diocese was divided in two and Dharmapuri was formed in 1997 with Monsignor Joseph Anthony Irudayaraj made the first Bishop of the new diocese.

There are 26 schools and about six orphanages in the diocese. The diocese is very backward in both education and in its general economic condition so the bishop has to focus on these areas. Please pray for his intentions and continue to send the back issues. I shall pray for all of you.

My letter of request for religious magazines appeared in the February 2006 issue of AD2000.
