This is an accessible, informative book of particular appeal to dedicated Catholics with a strong devotion to the Mother of God.

The author is a professional writer and lay member of the Third Order of St Francis, who specialises in popular religious works.

While most canonised saints and beati were not favoured with mystical experiences or visions of Our Lord, Our Lady, or one of the saints, a few were. On the other hand, there were many men and women who may never be canonised, but have been favoured with visions.

Brown relates scores of beautiful stories about saints who saw and spoke to the Blessed Virgin Mary. He describes their visions in detail, using precisely the actual words spoken by Our Lady to such saints as Francis of Assisi, Brigid of Sweden, Catherine of Siena, Simon Stock, Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross, Catherine Laboure and many others ... seventeen in all.

It is both inspiring and encouraging to read how Our Lady has intervened in many lives to grant favours, perform miracles, solve problems, heal bodies, convert souls, commission projects and impart secrets.

The book is enriched by a range of black-and-white photos.
