Christian values are under attack everywhere - from the Gay and Lesbian lobby wanting same-sex marriages, to lesbians appearing on the traditional children's ABC program Play School.
To my dismay, few Christian leaders are doing anything to stem the tide. Only Cardinal Pell and Father Bernard McGrath, (Inglewood, Vic) have had letters in the daily press.
Every parish should have responded, encouraging John Howard's protection of marriage, and protesting the politicisation of Play School. Have we become so demoralised by the paedophile scandals that we can't fight this threat? Where is the Catholic spirit of old? We had better find it soon.
