17 May is known in some circles as "International Day Against Homophobia". On that day this year a student conference was held in Canberra where the audience was told how "60 percent of Australian homosexual students suffer homophobic abuse", etc.
But is there really such a thing as a homosexual student? Before, during and after puberty, children must deal with unfamiliar feelings and new appetites. In the process, some are confused about their gender-identity and may feel same-sex attractions. Most, however, get over it.
But some end up trapped in a lifetime of deviant desires and lifestyle. Why?
Because well-organised, predatory members of our society endeavour to grab and recruit such vulnerable young people, and to get them to "come out" and declare themselves to be homosexual. This makes the confusion worse, even irreversible.
